About Girl scouts

Girl Scouts was founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon "Daisy" Low, who wished to help girls find their passions. Now with 1.7 million girls and 750,000 adult members, her wish has come true with numerous opportunities for girls to seek adventure and discover their talents. Girl Scouts is committed to the STEM Pledge, a multi-year initiative to add 2.5 million girls to the STEM pipeline. To learn more, visit the Girl Scouts official website.

OUR ROLE as GIRL SCOUTs

Our FRC team is also a Girl Scout troop and we use our resources as Girl Scouts to extend STEM to girls locally, nationally, and internationally. And yes, we do sell Girl Scout Cookies! For more information about our outreach within Girl Scouts, see our Outreach and Girl Scout Badges pages.

About Girl Scout Gold Awards

High school girls can earn the Gold Award—the highest award in Girl Scouting—by developing and carrying out lasting solutions to issues in their neighborhoods and beyond. We are proud of our 31 Gold Award recipients — Space Cookies have earned Gold Awards at a rate 4x the national average!

The work of today is the history of tomorrow, and we are its makers.
